little black heart

Posted on: 2.25.2014

People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset,
I don’t find myself saying, ‘Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.’
I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.

Hello Lovelies . . . here is another look for the Charcoal Alley for Volcom project.  How dramatic is this shoot with Catalina Island, glowing like a jewel in the distance, as the burning sun sinks into the horizon.  My little black heart floods with memories.  Fire-red backlighting pops against the cobalt sea, and lights up the carefully selected jewelry in the shoot.  Over-stated jewelry (if there is such a thing) is a look that continues to delight me.  I love how jewelry can create absolute transformation.  In this shoot, I am featuring some of the gorgeous creations of Palm Beach, Jewelry designer and blogger beauty, Allegra Fanjul.  She creates wonderful handcrafted, one-of-a-kind, designs. Attention to detail, high quality stones, crystals, pearls, and rich metals, showcase her passion for her art.  You can check out her marvelous creations  here or on etsy here.

This shoot features the 'UR A Pistol' skirt from Volcom.  I must say this is one of my favorite pieces from their spring/summer collection.  What can I say?  It's just fun being a girl, and this outfit epitomizes summer, the beach, and the feminine essence.

  6. Okay, so let me try to explain my feelings towards your blog. My very first impression was something like "Oh this is a very cute layout". Then it came the part when I started browsing trough your posts and I was like "so many gorgeous pictures! And the quality is amazing... let me see a few more posts". Then it came the part when I actually just became addicted and amazed by the fact that you are drop dead gorgeous and that you have the most amazing pictures/ editing/ style and everything in between. I feel that your blog is such a breeze of fresh air. Do you know what people say that nowadays everybody has a blog and that blogs are all the same and so on and so forth?! Yours is totally different! You have such a unique and different vibe that it's totally seen trough your blog!! Words can't even explain how much I love it! For example, this post right here has to be one of the most amazing post I've ever seen! Those pictures are just pure perfection! Anyways, I'm talking too much haha sorry about that! Just wanted to tell you and congratulate you for having such a cute blog! x
