Hello sweet darlings . . . Photography amazes me . . . how mysterious it is, to be able to freeze a moment of time.  I love how a still image invites us to take another look at life -- the seemingly everyday -- and highlight aspects that may have gone unnoticed.  With a little closer scrutiny, and a little more time, unseen patterns and unplanned metaphors appear, as if by magic.  Red seems to be the primary element that echoed its way into this shoot.  My red, cowboy boots, the geraniums, a dangling, lilikoi flower, a vintage motorcycle.  It's as if some unseen force is moving us, dancing with us, directing behind the scenes.  I loved styling this classic black and white striped dress, which is part of Volcom's summer capsule collection. I paired it with a chunky, choker necklace.  It was fun tapping into a little bit of my wild-side.  In retrospect, I was suprised with the results -- (quite possibly, my favorite look for my Charcoal Alley for Volcom project).
